He was a Japanese-style painter born in Kyoto. His father is Eitai Kanou(狩野永泰:painter) He was a talented painter from his youth. He learned Yamato-e (大和絵:Japanese traditional style of painting) by himself. He got a professional technic and drew sublime paintings.
