Article 1 (The terms)
In regards to the Matsumoto Shoeido Member Service (referred to below as "the service") provided by Matsumoto Shoeido ("Matsumoto Shoeido" below), customers using the service ("members" below) shall abide by the following terms of service ("the terms" below) when using the service's features.

Article 2 (Changes to the terms)
Matsumoto Shoeido can modify the terms without members' consent if judged necessary.
Furthermore, in these cases the service's terms of use shall be based on the terms after their modification.
Changes to the terms will be announced to members online or by methods decided separately by Matsumoto Shoeido, as necessary.
After their modification, the terms shall take effect from the time they are announced by Matsumoto Shoeido.

Article 3 (Membership registration)
Membership registration for the service shall be carried out in accordance with methods determined separately by Matsumoto Shoeido.
Members shall be regarded as agreeing to the details of this membership agreement from the moment Matsumoto Shoeido consents to their enrollment.
Members agree to the acquisition and use of registration information to the extent necessary for Matsumoto Shoeido and its partners to provide the service.

Article 4 (Rejection of membership registration)
Matsumoto Shoeido can reject the membership registration of the applicant concerned, in case of any of the following reasons. Matsumoto Shoeido will not disclose the reason a membership registration has been rejected.
- When concerns arise regarding violation of terms, or when Matsumoto Shoeido has judged there is a violation of the terms
- When all or part of the registration information provided to Matsumoto Shoeido contains falsehoods, significant errors, omissions and so on
- When applicant has been punished with expulsion in the past for violating the membership agreement etc
- Other cases when Matsumoto Shoeido has judged that membership registration is inappropriate, regardless of reason

Article 5 (Changes to registration information)
When a member's personal registration information has changed, they shall promptly get in touch with the applicable change of information.
When a change of details has been reported, Matsumoto Shoeido shall change the registration details in accordance with the report in question.
Matsumoto Shoeido shall bear no responsibility if a member has suffered any disadvantage because no report was made.

Article 6 (Responsibility for user name/password management)
The use and management of user names and passwords is the responsibility of the members themselves.
Members are not to disclose, consent to use, loan, transfer, change names, sell, or by any other action that contains a security risk provide user names or passwords to third parties.
Responsibility for losses arising from use of user names and passwords shall be borne by members, and not by Matsumoto Shoeido.
If members discover the fact that their password has been lost, used fraudulently, or used by a third party, or that there is a danger of this, they shall immediately notify Matsumoto Shoeido of this.

Article 7 (Compensation for damages)
In cases where members have caused damage to Matsumoto Shoeido or others through use of this service, they shall bear responsibility and costs of repaying said damages.

Article 8 (Copyright)
Information, photos, and other works published on the service belong to either Matsumoto Shoeido, or the author or copyright holder of the work.
Members are not to infringe on copyright or trademarks by reproduction, reuse, public transmission, transfer, adaptation and translation of Matsumoto Shoeido's works.

Article 9 (Prohibited matters)
Conduct corresponding to any of the following is prohibited when using the service.
When Matsumoto Shoeido has judged that a member's conduct corresponds to any of the following, all or part of the applicable conduct can be suspended without prior notification, and any and all measures can be taken to remove concerned violations.
- Infringement of copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property rights of Matsumoto Shoeido or others
- Infringement on property, privacy or likeness rights of others
- Conduct that damages the reputation or trustworthiness of Matsumoto Shoeido, content providers for this service, or other third parties
- Alteration or erasure of information on Matsumoto Shoeido or others that is accessible through the service
- Disclosure of personal information to other members or third parties
- Use of the service to impersonate others
- Political or religious activities, or actions related to these, or actions contradictory to public order and morals
- Use of Matsumoto Shoeido's title without permission
- Permitting use, loan, transfer, sale or other use of membership requirements by third parties
- Actions intended to interfere with the service's operation
- Actions opposed to the site's purpose, or connected to crime
- Other actions that Matsumoto Shoeido deems inappropriate, regardless of reason

Article 10 (Change/termination of service)
Matsumoto Shoeido may enact changes to the details or name of the service without notifying members beforehand.
However, in case of termination or changes to usage fees ("changes and so on" below), members will be notified beforehand either online or via a method separately decided by Matsumoto Shoeido.
Further, Matsumoto Shoeido shall bear no responsibility for damages caused to members or others due to changes and so on, excluding cases specifically decided on in this membership agreement.

Article 11 (Interruption or suspension of service and contents)
 
When any of the following causes have arisen, Matsumoto Shoeido has temporarily interrupted or suspended this service and its contents ("this service etc" below) without notifying members beforehand.
Further, even when provision of this service etc has been delayed, interrupted or suspended due to any of the following causes or other reasons, Matsumoto Shoeido shall bear no responsibility for damages caused to members or others, except for situations specifically determined in this membership agreement.
- Performance of regular or emergency maintenance on equipment, facilities etc utilized by the service
- When provision of the service etc becomes impossible due to fire, electricity outage and so on
- When provision of the service etc becomes impossible due to earthquake, tsunami or other natural disaster
- When provision of the service etc becomes impossible due to war, rioting, violence, labor strikes and so on
- Other cases where temporary suspension of the service etc is deemed necessary due to practicality, technology or conditions at Matsumoto Shoeido

Article 12 (Cancellation of membership requirements)
When any of the following apply to members, Matsumoto Shoeido can temporarily suspend use of the service, or remove membership, without the member's prior notification.
When any of the prohibitions in Article 9 apply, or when any violations of the terms are identified
When falsehoods, major writing errors or omissions have been identified in all or part of the membership information provided to Matsumoto Shoeido
When having hindered operation of Matsumoto Shoeido and the service
When providing an antisocial influence, or being connected to such an influence, or having been connected in the past
When legal violations or crimes have been committed or are in danger of being committed, or when suspected of involvement in a criminal case, and confidence in Matsumoto Shoeido is in danger of being damaged by continuing the terms
Other cases where Matsumoto Shoeido judges the member to be unfit

Article 13 (Distribution of advertising and email magazines)
Members consent to publication of advertising on the service, and distribution of email magazines with published advertising.
Business conducted between members and providers of advertising published on the service, including in email magazines, shall be the responsibility of both parties.
Matsumoto Shoeido shall bear no responsibility for losses due to business conducted via advertising published on the service or in email magazines, or for losses due to publication of advertising itself.

Article 14 (Personal information)
Matsumoto Shoeido shall handle members' personal information appropriately, based on a "privacy policy" posted separately online.
