Artist
He is regarded as a mysterious painter because he was a great painter but there is not so much information about him. Morikage was a pupil of Tanyu Kano (狩野探幽) and he married Tanyu’s niece. He was selected as a member who could participate in the production of screen paintings of famous temple. It is said he was excommunicated by Tanyu.
