He was a painter, cultural contributor born in Ehime pref. He studied under Gyokusen Mochiduki (望月玉泉), Bairei Kono (幸野楳嶺), and Osakuni Hashimoto (橋本雅邦). He was active in Kanten Exhibition (官展). He won the Order of Culture in 1940.
