Maruyama Okyo
1733~1795
He established a new basic form of Japanese-style painting in the letter half of 18th century in Kyoto. When he was in twenties, he worked at a toy shop and engaged in making toys. He tried to create many works in various forms when he was in thirties. He specialized in sketch. He studied many drawing techniques and integrated these techniques in his works. For example, perspective, shadow method, and so on.
