Isoda Koryusai

He was an Ukiyo-e (picture of the floating world) artist. He painted mainly Bijin-ga (美人画: the picture of beautiful women). Also, he painted Syun-ga (春画: an erotic picture).In his later years, he devoted himself to original drawing. He was conferred Hogen (法眼:one of the rank among monks or artists) in 1782.
