Suzuki Harunobu
1725~1770
He was an Ukiyo-e (浮世絵: a genre style painting or wood block painting) artist. He established the art of Nishiki-e (錦絵). He produced many works in various styles, including Bijin-ga (美人画: Ukiyo-e portraying beautiful women), Meisho-e (名所絵: landscape drawing),Musya-e (武者絵:Ukiyo-e portraying warriors). Harunobu used various colors in works by using hi excellent feel for color. His androgynous and lily Bijin-ga took the world by storm and many artists followed him.
