Oki Ichiga
1796~1861
He was a painter born in Edo (now Tokyo). He became a pupil of Kajibashi Kano school. When he was 42, he became an adopted son of Tanyo Oki (沖探容). Ichiga became the 7th head of family in 1840. His son, Kyuko(九皐), served Ikeda family as a painter. After the Meiji Restoration, he worked for the government. He became a member of Iwakura delegation and studied in the UK. After his returning, he had held prefectural governor.
