Akino Huku

1908〜2001
He was a Japanese-style painter born in Shizuoka pref. He studied painting under Rinkyo Ishi (石井林響) and Suisyo Nishiyama (西山翠嶂). Fuku founded Sozo Bijyutsu Kyokai (創造美術協会: the association of arts) with Kyujin Yamamoto (山本丘人) and Syoko Uemura (上村松篁). He was invited India as a professor and visited India several times. He painted many pictures with India motif. He won the Order of Culture.
