Ban Masaomi

1855～1931
He was born in Nagoya (Aichi pref.) He started at studying of writing and Waka(和歌:Japanese traditional poem) the age of 7. He became a professor of Kazoku girl’s school (華族女学校). Also, he taught Waka and to imperial family. Also, he was a master of calligraphy, so he ordered to made a copy of “A collected poem of Emperor Meizi” (明治天皇御集) in 1921.
