Miwada Beizan

1821～1908
He was born in Aichi pref. He studied Japanese classical literature under Takamasa Ookuni(大国隆正) and calligrapher under Hakugan Kusaka(日下白巌) His works are very dynamic and unique. He liked to get drink. He said that he couldn’t do calligraphy without alcohol in his diary. A business person, Hatsuziro Yamamot(山本發次), thought highly of Beizan and it made him famous.
