Kondo Secchiku

1863～1928
He was a calligrapher born in Edo (now Tokyo).He worked at Teishin-syo(逓信省:Ministry of Communication) for 43years. In 1879, he became a pupil of Meikaku Kusakabe (日下部鳴鶴) and learned successive famous calligraph. He specialized in Chinese character written in the demotic semi-square style. He participated in many calligraphy associations and played a leading role.
