Kano Sanraku

1559～1635
He was a Kano school painter. He had close ties to Toyotomi family. However Toyotomi family fall in the Osaka Natsu no Jin (大阪夏の陣: the summer campaign of Osaka) in 1615.Therefore, Sanraku became a target of hunting the remnants. He took refuge in Otokoyama Hachiman Shrine (男山八幡宮) in Kyoto and was helped by Kujo family. Then he moved his bases to Kyoto from Osaka.
