Ike Gyokuran

1727～1784
She was a painter born in Gion, Kyoto. Also, she was known for the wife of Taiga Ikeno (池大雅). She studied paintings under Taiga. She took names Matsukaze (松風)or Yuuka(遊可).
Her style of paintings is similar to Taiga’s. She drew landscape paintings or ink brush paintings. She was the best female painter in the era.
