Utsumi Kitsudo

1850～1925
He was a painter born in Fukui. He studied the brushwork of Shijo-school under Kansai Mori (森寛斉) and Bunrin Shiokawa (塩川文麟). Then, he switched to Nanga painter and often had been to China. He made efforts to the formation of Japanese Nanga Association (日本南画協会).
